For this project I created a logo and brand identity for a fictional local festival. The idea was to combine both the Reno Dance Festival and the Tahoe Dance Festival into one big event. This would allow the opportunity for local dancers to socialize and make connections.

The inspiration behind the logo was to take the wave component from the Reno-Tahoe logo and combine it with a dance figure in order to make a personal logo that connects with its target audience.

I decided to use lots of bold colors in my palette to portray the feelings of diversity and celebration. The use of color dust represents the impact that dance has on identity and culture through the use of explosion-like imagery.
